ClickUp vs Notion AI: Compare Packages Before Comparing Cost
Brain AI and Everything AI are different ClickUp packages. Compare the required capabilities and complete workspace quote with Notion Business.

The packaging difference
ClickUp’s published base plans include Unlimited at $7/user/month billed yearly and Business at $12/user/month billed yearly. AI has distinct options: Brain AI at $9/user/month and Everything AI at $28/user/month at the displayed yearly rates. They are not interchangeable packages. Notion’s current pricing page lists AI features in Business and Enterprise, with limited AI trials on Free and Plus. It does not support adding an assumed legacy $10 AI surcharge to every new Business seat. See Notion pricing. Prices can be localized; use the same currency and billing term for both quotes.

These are combinations of displayed prices, not an account-specific quote or a guarantee that every seat can be licensed independently. Confirm eligible members, plan requirements, taxes, promotions and usage credits in checkout. Do not compare an advanced AI bundle on one side with a lighter package on the other and call the result an overall winner.
Test the same job in both workspaces
Choose a concrete task: summarizing a project, drafting a handover or finding an answer in connected documents. Use the same source material and ask the same questions. Record whether the answer cites the right source, respects permissions and captures the actual blockers. A fluent answer can still be wrong.

Compare total cost
Obtain a Notion quote in the same currency and billing period. Multiply each complete quote by the actual billable seat count, include add-ons and usage, then account for migration and maintenance. If AI saves time, measure review time as well as generation time. Faster drafts do not automatically mean less total work.
Which direction to investigate
Start with the system that already holds the work. A task-heavy ClickUp workspace may benefit from AI close to its tasks; a Notion knowledge base may benefit from document-centered assistance. These are workflow hypotheses, not measured superiority claims. Run a small pilot before changing the team’s system of record.
