ClickUp Updates: Verify AI Packaging Before Upgrading
A correction to our earlier ClickUp AI repricing claim, with a checklist for evaluating current features and plans.

Correction — September 15, 2026: an earlier version said ClickUp had replaced its cheaper AI option with a single $28 Everything AI package. The official pricing page lists both Brain AI and Everything AI. We have withdrawn that replacement claim and the implied universal jump to a $35 AI-enabled seat.
ClickUp’s published base plans include Unlimited at $7/user/month billed yearly and Business at $12/user/month billed yearly. AI has distinct options: Brain AI at $9/user/month and Everything AI at $28/user/month at the displayed yearly rates. They are not interchangeable packages. A product update is not the same as a plan change
When evaluating an announcement, record its release date, availability status, eligible plans and usage conditions. A feature shown on a marketing page may have account-specific availability or limits. The existence of a larger bundle does not prove that a smaller bundle was discontinued.
Evaluate one change against real work
Select a representative project and define an outcome before the pilot: accurate status summaries, fewer manual updates or faster handovers. Compare outputs with the original task data, include human review time and record mistakes. Do not accept an AI-generated owner or deadline without checking the source.
Keep automatic changes and external messages behind review until the workflow has passed the team’s tests. Check permissions with an account that should not see restricted work. Verify credit usage and the account quote before enabling a feature broadly.
